Depression, Anxiety and Panic Attacks
Life is good some days and other days it can be a real challenge. Your sleep is bad, you can't concentrate and the self talk going on in your head is negative. You might have heavy exhaustion or feel anxious and constantly walk on eggshells. Problems that just mildly put you out before now lead to feelings of panic with your heart beating and your mouth drying up. At home you find you are worrying constantly about jobs that you completed without thinking before. You feel like going to your room and closing the door on your world and totally withdrawing. Day to day living, being happy becomes an effort. You cant remember your last belly laugh. You might begin asking yourself where the real "You" has gone.

Left alone you might start to feel depressed, anxious and even experience panic attacks. Your self esteem may sink and you no longer can find any good in yourself. Overall these feelings can paralyse your thinking and behaviour making you feel unable to tackle your life and have the life you want. This is the time to reach out for support to break this cycle. We often expect too much of ourselves in these times of emotional upset and do not reach out for help. As Take That say in their song Never Forget "We're not invincible...we are only people".

Like any other person I have had my good and my challenging times and it was this that brought me to train in the area of mental health. I combine my own life experience with my training in psychology and psychotherapy to offer grounded, warm, accessible therapy where the working relationship between the client and therapist is key. I am truly aware of how low ,upset or anxious people can become and understand the realities of it. I will work with you to help you to find your way through it.
